Chicken Invaders Universe on this Arcade henpire

Rank 2 is the other shooter I could document without stretching Arcade into a slogan. InterAction studios, seller Betacom, S.A., bundle com.betacomsa.ios.ciu, id 1596645084. The US card is loud about scope and quiet about social proof: 4.5 from 32 ratings.

What the listing actually is

The card’s own myth: intergalactic chickens, revenge for earthly poultry, a recruit in the United Hero Force. I am repeating store copy, not writing fanfic. New-in-this-episode claims on the page include 1,000+ star systems, 20,000+ missions, 15 mission types, daily challenge missions in an inbox, buy/sell/upgrade, squadrons, leaderboards, a customisable fleet. Those pluses belong to the developer’s listing. I have not counted star systems from a binary, because there is no binary here.

Features the card is willing to shout: over 200 chickens on-screen, gigantic boss fights, 15 weapons upgradeable to 11 levels “plus a secret 12th,” 30 bonuses, 40 medals, orchestral soundtrack, missions with friends up to 99 players. Again: listing, 22 September 2026.

English only in the language list. iOS 12.0+. 236.5 MB. Version 160.3.0, 11 September 2026, “Maintenance release.” First release 31 March 2023. The version number looks like a live-service odometer; I will not translate it into a content calendar I do not have.

Money and ads, as printed

Free with in-app purchases. The US card’s IAP list I could see included a Large key pack at $5.99, Chicken Hunter License at $6.99, Small and Medium key packs, and several episode DLC prices (The Saga Begins, Cluck of the Dark Side, The Next Wave, Ultimate Omelette, Revenge of the Yolk). Prices are storefront facts on the day of the check; they move. The age panel also says Contains Advertising. Sky Force’s card, in my scrape, did not. I keep that difference visible instead of blending both shooters into one “free to start” fog.

Privacy labels on the listing mention data used to track you (location, identifiers, usage, diagnostics) and data not linked to you, including third-party advertising. That is Apple’s nutrition label, not my accusation. I point at it because an Arcade atlas that hides the advertising line would be a doorway.

How the Arcade loop is sold

A galaxy map, missions delivered like mail, a ship you dress and arm. The May 2024 notes mention language auto-detection; January 2024 added a virtual joystick option and removed a Christmas seasonal edition. Those patch lines are the closest I will come to a controls section. I do not know whether your thumbs will like the stick. A store review on the card complains about joystick heritage from PC; another wants controller support. I am allowed to notice that those comments exist on the listing. I am not allowed to settle them.

Who the card suits

Readers who want a named shmup series with a shopping list and a universe map, and who can live with a small rating denominator. 32 ratings is a thin sample next to Raid Rush’s 54,459. I still ranked this above Raid Rush because the Arcade silhouette is cleaner: chickens, guns, missions, not a loot-box advisory glued to a lane builder. That is editorial. It is also reversible if the henpire card sheds its advertising line and grows a real sample — or if you think 54,459 voices should beat 32 no matter the genre. The atlas explains the choice instead of hiding it.

What it is not

It is not hosted on calummagames.com. It is not Chicken Invaders 2, 3, or 4 as separate ranks; those are other listings. It is not ad-free on the card I read. It is not a 17+ horror object. It is not a substitute for the App Store page. The still is landscape, unlike Sky Force’s portrait shot; I left the aspect alone.
