How this Arcade atlas was assembled
The method is dull on purpose. Dull is what keeps a doorway from inventing a million downloads.
What arrived
Six App Store URLs. I did not hunt a seventh. I did not drop Icebreaker Fishing because it is not a shooter. The mix is the point of this atlas: Arcade as a desk category, not a single mechanic.
What was weighed
- Whether the card publishes a rating and a count I can quote.
- Whether age, advisories, size, version, and OS are on the listing.
- Whether the store copy describes a loop a reader can picture.
- Whether a long review can be written without pretending we host the binary.
What was not weighed
Payola, “top six of 2026”, download guesses, and whether I personally cleared a boss. Rank 1 is Sky Force because the listing is old (5 June 2014) and the rating sample is 2,062 — not because this desk crowned a winner. Rank 6 is Moorhuhn Invasion because the US card showed 0 ratings on 22 September 2026.
How facts are dated
Every passport ends with 22 September 2026. If Apple moves a number, the atlas is wrong until it is re-read. That is preferable to a live scrape that silently drifts.
